Winter at Whisperwood

Whisperwood cottages are the perfect getaway for a winter wonderland holiday. Our 2 cottages are nestled beneath towering white pines and beside our own private lake. We have 91 acres of beautiful forest and peace and quiet. Each cottage comes equipped with 4 pairs of snowshoes perfect for blazing your own trail through the snow and exploring the pristine countryside.

We also have more than 2 kilometers of well marked trails throughout the property ideal for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Be sure to bring your camera. The views are breathtaking and we also have an abundance of wildlife and winter birds. After a day in the snow you can relax in front of the fireplace in the cottage.

Each cottage has 2 bedrooms and a 3 or 4 piece bathroom. Natural wood floors and pine interiors make the cottages warm and cozy. Each has electric heating as well as a fireplace or woodstove. The cottages are fully equipped including propane for the barbecue, firewood, dishes, cutlery, blankets and pillows. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. There is even a firepit for outside campfires.

Our roads are well plowed by the township and we use our own tractor to keep the driveway clear.

One of the main Seguin (Parry Sound)snowmobile trails is nearby but we don't allow snowmobiling on our property. The Georgian Nordic Ski and Canoe club with many well groomed trails is just 48 km away on Hwy 124. Lake Rosseau, known for its ice fishing is a half hour away.
