Whisperwood - Oak Cottage
Our third and last cottage is called Oak. It is secluded from the other two cottages,
having its own driveway and a 200 foot buffer of forest.
Our own pine, wavy siding covers the outside. Inside, the warmth of pine floors,
wainscotting and ceilings makes this our coziest cottage.
Oak has a large double French door opening onto a screened-in Muskoka room and deck.
The view of the lake from the deck is beautiful.
Large, granite rock outcroppings give a natural landscaping complete with stone steps down to the cottage.
Oak has two bedrooms with either a queen sized or double bed. The pullout couch in the livingroom is a double bed.
The large four-piece bathroom comes complete with a two person, extra deep whirlpool tub,
perfect for relaxing after a day hiking the trails or swimming in the lake.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cutlery, dishes and pots and pans.
There is also a TV and DVD player. Oak has its own small dock for the canoe,
though guests will want to swim from the large dock that is closer to Pine and Maple cottages.
There is an outside firepit for Oak guests.
